What Fine Ideals We Raise Our Flags To,
What Grandiose Principles We Boast And Brag Through,
And Yet Injustice Still Prevails;
What Works For Some, For Others Fails.
And With Picket Signs, We Rally And March;
In Winter We Freeze; In Summer We Parch.
Yet With Endless Fervor, ‘Justice! , ‘ We Cry,
‘Justice For All; Live Or Die! ‘
Life’s Not Fair And Government’s Biased;
Always For The Rich, Mighty, And Pious.
But Brother, Though Your Affliction Be Great,
Think For A Moment, Listen And Wait.
Who Was More Innocent, Perfect, And Right
Than Jesus Of Nazareth, The Truth And The Light?
Whose Blood Was More Precious Than His Which Was Shed;
For The Sake Of Our Sins He Went In Our Stead?
Who Deserved More A Crown But Was Given A Cross
So Not Even The Least Would Suffer The Loss?
If Justice On Earth Was Meant To Prevail,
Then Why The Lord Jesus, Did Men Have To Fail?
‘Liberty, ‘ The Cause That Fills Hearts With Wrath-
Many Have Marched In Its Well Trodden Path,
But Who Realizes The True Meaning Thereof
Until He Is Loosened By Jesus’s Love
