Moments Pass Like Lightning Flash,
They-‘re Here And Then They-‘re Gone.
But In Those Moments That Flash By,
The Images Go On And On.
A Memory Of My First True Love,
Her Face So Young, So Sweet, So Bright.
The Very Image Of Her Lasts Within,
My Mind Throughout Eternal Night.

Another Flash And There She Is,
My Daughter, So Fresh And Pink And New.
She Cries Her First Tears Loudly,
But Quiets When She Hears My Coo.
A Flash Again And Randy Is There,
All Smiles Right To The End.
He-‘s Placed His Life In God-‘s Hands,
But We End Up Saying -ŗso Long, Friend.-
My Memories Flash Back And Forth,
They Bounce From Times Of Pain Or Joy.
The Time I Fell From Of A Moving Car,
The Time I Got My Favorite Toy.
Another Burst Of Memory Comes.
My Son Comes Into The World.
His Own Body Pink And Clean,
His Hair Is Wet And Swirled.
A Flash Of Angry, Sobbing Talk,
And The Image Of A Knife.
My Mother Has Her Back To Me.
She Yells She Hates Her Life.
Switching To My Daughter-‘s Tears,
As Doctors Stitch Her Nose.
The Dog That Bit My Little Girl,
Feels It’s Life Come To A Close.
I-‘m Telling Jokes To My Young Son,
His Arm Broken But In Sling.
He Laughs Despite The Pain It Makes.
For Laughter Is A Healing Thing.
We Walk A Park After Having Lunch,
My New Friend Mindy And I.
My Memory Of That First Day-‘s Meeting,
Brings To Me A Happy Sigh.
My Memories Continue On Some More,
Mental Photos Still Come To Me.
I Move About Through Disjointed Time,
Over Land And Over Sea.
Moments Pass Like Lightning Flash,
They-‘re Here And Then They-‘re Gone.
But In Those Moments That Flash By,
The Memories Linger On.
