It-‘s Just Another Day, As Far As I Can Say
It-‘s Just Another Hour Where Time Went By
The Days Are Getting Longer
The Clock Is Slowing Down
The Father Is Not Back Yet
Still No Word Or Sound
The Mother Sits There Worried
The Daughter Doesn-‘t Understand
Her Father Went To Battle
For The Freedom Of Their Land
Life Is Getting Harder
With Each Day He Is Gone
They Don-‘t Have Time To Wonder
So Life Must Still Go On
The Father Dies, The Mother Cries,
The Child Sighs -ŗwhy Today?-
The Traveling Man Is Old And Wise;
He See-‘s The Tears In The Young Girl-‘s Eyes
The Young Girl Weeps And Tries Not To Cry,
She Yells Out Loud -ŗwhy Did He Have To Die?-
The Mother Is Concerned And Tries To Explain
But No Words She Said Could Ever Heal The Pain
The Girl Pulls Away And Wipes Her Eyes
She Never Even Got To Say Goodbye
The Mother Strokes Her Daughter-‘s Hair
She Said -ŗyour Father Knows How Much You Care.-
The Girl-‘s Eye-‘s Filled With Hope
As She Smiled And Said I Hope So
You Can-‘t Take Back Yesterday
But You Can Still Make Him Proud..
